As for the fookin Country Western industry and the way it has treated the Chicks, I don't listen to it, Country Western, anymore. The Chicks have never made a bad album or even a bad song for that matter. They are the best that Country Western has to offer. I DO listen to the Chicks. You cannot ever go wrong with them.
This is the first CD I bought of the dixie chicks, and nothing compares to this album. It's amazing and I love every song. My favorite song on this album is "Fly", the lyrics are wonderful. This CD is a great cd to sing to in the car.
I don't listen to much country.but, I did enjoy listening to the 'Chicks', & I do recommend it.enjoy.
It's very upbeat with excellent sound quality. Excellent CD by the Dixie Chicks. This particular CD is by far their best. The CD is encoded with each song's title and the CD title if your CD player has the display capability.I have Wide Open Spaces (second favorite), Home, Top of the World and Takin' the Long Way. Fly is still my personal favorite.Even if you're not a country music fan, this is still very entertaining.
This is a great sophmore effort. Funny lyrics like "praise the Lord and pass the ammunition" and "mattress dancing"Some Days You Gotta Dance - dancy number, like its lyrics and titleHole in My Head - heavy, grinding instrumentation. Of course the song does not advocate premeditated murder.
Country with a broader appeal. It's just a revenge fantasyHello Mr. This album is a bit harder and edgier than the first one, and the Chicks pull it off well.
Get a grip. Good tunes are many:Ready to RunIf I Fall - great faster number with cool scraping fiddlesEarl - a great rhythm and lyrics. Is about a woman and her friend "disposing" of a violent brute of a husband.
Heartache - a good traditional-flavored numberSin Wagon - fast, bluegrassy tune. Cool effect.
